Whom Here Was The Fortunate One...?

Was following this Rg34 and even took a shot at it (but my bid was thoroughly crushed and never even registered in those final moments). Only those whom frequent this sub-forum and collect Rg34s would have any idea why this particular kit was sehr besonders. Undoubtedly both top bidders must be among the flock. Either way, always nice to see it go to a dedicated collector...

Yes I was following it to. Was out bid to. Never thought it would have went that high. I'm sure someone on here got it. Maybe slash?

Guilty as charged. Had to give quite a bit more than I wanted to but ..... It was one of those bids where you think to yourself "that should buy it, but I sure hope I don't end up having to pay that much" if you get my point? The photos and descriptions were not so hot but you could make out some of the details. Very unusual kit in my opinion and does not appear to have been tampered with. Thanks also to a member here who sent me the auction link ......

Type 2a oil bottle (unmarked) as found in some late Mundlos and Hawig kits

Type 6a chin link reinigungskette (unmarked) occasionally found in the very late Hawig and the CNX cans

In my opinion the however the behälter is the most interesting part. Took a chance on what I was told and the photos and was very happy when it arrived. First of all, the latches are unfinished "in the white." Have never seen this on an ab43. Occasionally observed on very late ab44, cmr44, cmr45, and CNX cans. The can is also without WaA which again I have never observed on an ab43. There are a very few ab44 behälter without WaA. cmr44 without WaA are seen slightly more often. And perhaps 45% of the very late CNX cans are sans WaA. Very odd features for a 1943 can by Mundlos. The components here along with the oddities of the can suggest to me that this piece was assembled very late in 1944 or '45 from older stock and parts still on hand. Similar to the very late CNX or last gasp ab or cmr kits. My thoughts only ......

I figured it was you. I knew that was a rare kit. Congrats on the buy. It's a very nice kit.i think I was the second highest bidder.
