Picked this up in a trade recently. Kinda odd looking rifle. Red glue laminate stock. Eagle proof on right side. Most numbers dont match. No X in the receiver. import mark scrubbed off and poorly reblued. S/42 on receiver, but looks scrubbed. Also looks like the receiver was scrubbed in general as the color doesnt match. Original German serial and proofs scrubbed off on left side. Barrel has more of the semi large German eagles but no WAA numbers. Buttplate marked GGM 43, Trigger guard only has a number on the floor plate. Everything else unmarked. By the color variance looks like several parts were replaced. Front sight, front band and nosecap, etc. Rear sight looks new with German eagles, but very faint large ones as well. Thinking it may be a Yugo or maybe Polish capture? Bolt has numbers top and bottom. Safety blank, small numbers on the bolt shroud. What is this thing?
