What is this scope?

I bought this scope. It was sold as a Hensoldt Wetzlar 7x42 post war. The only markings are Wetzlar and 7x42. Is it a Hensoldt? is it post war? Any info would be appreciated.

yes, scope is post war, NO it is not Hensoldt. scope is most likely a Sornet. have you removed the elevation cap?? there are markings sometime under there, not always.

I want to install solid rings on it. But the front doesn't unscrew only the back. Can I remove the elevation turret easily to slide a scope ring up front? Also thank you Vaughn99 for the info.
