Hey all,
Thought I’d share an unexpected find. At our big provincial shows I do a Model 98 display table. Always lots of fun and great to the wider collecting community familiar with nice original German rifles. Anyways, an elderly gentleman who I’ve spoken with before came up to me at this weekend’s show and said he had something for me… turns out it was an original Weissenburger & Co Mud Cover. Not something I was expecting to find (I usually find nothing of interest to us at these shows… other than whats on my own table haha). And cherry on top is he only wanted $300 for it, so obviously it’s on my 1917 Amberg now
And thanks again to the members who were able to do some quick reviewing/price checking over an item like this. Not something I normally encounter, so always really appreciated.
