Hey guys, as most know already; I do dabble a bit in WW2. I picked up this one from Chuck a few years ago. I just liked the look of it and I had a regular and odd size laminate 45 already, so why not a walnut? Plus the SN was my street number growing up.

Features are textbook. Nothing special otherwise, just a great representative example of late war SDP trash; solder splash, rough machining, SNs that look stamped by a 5 year old. When next to my '39 G12/34 there's a nice peak vs floor comparison as far as quality goes.

The buttplate wasn't mated well to the stock as you can see in the pics

Look how messy the rear sight slider is. The extractor looks like a salvaged piece. Great stuff!

Sweet rifle. The machining , or lack of on the receiver is really cool and speaks volumes about the time this was made.
