How are the rings serialized ? Just curious as they have the entwined RW that shows up on Mauser made items . Did mauser make all the rings and bases for all the LT and HT snipers ?

It is covered in the book pretty well.

M.O. did ship the turret mounting parts to JPS. I am not clear if MO made the bases but in 1940, for the original LTs, I got the impression they ordered the bases from a subcontractor which created a production bottle neck. Whether they stuck with that contractor I am not clear on.

don't think I have that book I only have the old Senich red book which is now very out dated.

Scope

Hello Sauer. Could you post some more photos of your scope? Maybe an overall left side view? Also post pictures of serial numbers please (rifle and scope maker serial)? Thanks in advance.

Also, which book is displayed in your post?

Brian

very happy with this discovery, I had seen the ad because I am looking for a DKL HT for my CE44. I did not recognize this exceptional montage. I going to your home to see it closely

The Front and Rear Mounts do not seem to have any serial numbers at least from what I can make out from the posted Pics .
I am curious if this is only a prototype or something that was actually issued in a limited production . Either way this a very interesting find indeed . Congrats to You on a great piece !!!!!!!!!

hi Hercules
the photo comes from the book the german sniper page 235
if you look carefully you well see that the finish of the front base is not the same

I do not like the number on the front ring, which is out of the observed pieces. The lack of a number on the rear ring is also not the norm.. I would be concerned but never say never on snipers either.
