I highly suspect this Cad is a Robert Spielauer Reproduction , the Scope has no Serial Number which it should have Robert used commercial Kahles scopes as a base platform he removed all original marking and welded up the focal slot if the scope had a focal adjustment the other trait of the Cad repro scopes is an aluminum sunshade and lastly Robert topped off the scope with repro range dial . I have seen enough of Robert`s Repro Scopes to know one when I see one and I would bet this is one of Robert`s Cad`s

Possible same person, but they were honest in their listings each time. I suspect new listing is a flipper.
However the locations are only 2 hours apart from different postings.

Elite Collection is a member here. He has contacted me in the past but I can't remember what his user name is. I don't think it is the guy who was selling this in the thread posted above. Elite Collection's name is not Seth.

Agreed, new auction is dishonest. Especially since it's being broken up from the sun shield as well.

-"There is no serial number engraved on the elevation turret, which leads me to believe this scope was picked up unissued in the factory at the end of the war."

As I scrolled down, as soon as I saw the username it was 'oh THAT guy'. I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for the slightest bit of honesty or integrity.
 
I know the original forum seller Seth personally and he’s a good friend of mine, he is not Elite Collection.
 
I sold this scope at a gun show a while back. This is not my auction.

It’s not really that this scope is a turd. Robert’s rebuilt scopes are popular for people wanting to build a shooter. It’s that Elite Collection is selling it likes it’s a rare, original piece and it is not.

No, it’s the age old story of a flipper buying merchandise to make money from and not knowing a thing about what he’s buying. He might know, but I suspect he’s just an opportunist.
 
Actually it is the age old story of a dishonest Schlockmeister knowingly saying the item is an Original WW2 Sniper Scope when they dam well know its it a Fake or Altered to resemble an Original Item .
