Tough crowd....or Im way off on values

I Like Bunnies
Well, as you all likely noticed, I listed a bunch of stuff on the trader. I think I may be a little off on values, but crickets and tumbleweeds are close to what I am seeing.

Its a funny line, not hosing myself with low, low prices, but I dont want more than anything is worth, either....

Im actually shooting for $15k for another purchase, but want to have a few extra bucks on top. (Classic musclecar purchase/project)

Please advise, I have been around a long time, but out of it long enough to be out of touch.

Help poor Jeff make his goal!

Any input is welcome, and I truly am not intentionally overpricing, I just guessed, to be honest, not much dales record on the web. Criticism is also welcome.

I know they are restos and lower end, but im in the weeds on this. Im obviously high, but not sure how much to adjust.

Thanks, guys.

Jeff

Well. You don't start selling off the jewels of your collection. And many on this forum here have similar stuff already, so tougher to find someone in need for something that isn't high end.

I agree with what has been said here but I also think there is a lack of extra “fun money” that people normally would openly spend on higher priced items. I have seen this personally when trying to off load some items at local GunShow’s (not that expensive, right around the thousand dollar mark). When normally I could walk in and have the items sold within the first 30 mins. This could be speculation but we see it in happening in other hobbies/ people daily lives. People don’t have the extra cash right now IMO.

I saw all your items and have been VERY tempted. I would have pulled the trigger on one if I didn’t just get the approval email for my MG08/15.

Im in a spot where I do not honestly see myself coming back to collecting, and replacing the investment in another hobby.

I guess off to Gunbroker or a dealer this week. Once Iake my required amount I will stop selling and keep what is left. Im in a bit of a pinch and have to get ot done fairly quickly.

Thanks, guys.

Jeff

Jeff what’s the resto project if I can ask!? I’ve got a ‘69 Z-28 in the garage and a ‘72 Z that been behind the barn for at least 30 years that I’m about to roll out of the weeds and tackle. I’ll probably sell off a few guns to fund too. I have to say I haven’t been too active a buyer and my sense of market value is off as well.

Hey, John!

Its an unrestored 1965 Malibu Sport Coupe. 327 (built like a strong L79 350 horse), full exhaust, and...Competition Clutch and an original (not to the car, obviously) Doug Nash 5 speed manual, and a 12 bolt posi.

Essentially this is my High School dream car, since a Z16 is untouchable!

Jeff

Also came with a TRUNK FULL of car/year specific parts, every SS part needed to convert it. (1965 was a SS "Appearance package" only, so any car can be an SS as ordered,🙂

Except that pesky "138" tag code LOL🤣😭

Yeah, I got all those exterior trim parts, but inside, too. SS Glovebox, Steering wheel, dash, instrument cluster (SS had real guages, not idiot lights), new SS Grille in GM box...

Extra set of Double Hump fuelie 2.02 heads, like installed in the engine...

Oof.

That's a sweet project. One of the guys in my town has a real Z16. He's had it since the late sixties.....the original owner died in Vietnam. It was off the road for many years (40+) and he has recently finished an off the frame restoration of the car.

Jeff that's sweet and clean -- looks like original paint! great place to start. and hey Tribute cars are all the rage. I knew a guy with a Z-16 too beautiful in red. kind of a sleeper and nice and light too. L79 is a screamer. Kissing cousin to my 302 -- just de-stroked. here's my 69 with the factory cross-ram and original glass hood. finished it in '85 and it's held up pretty well. bought the 72 in the same year to get to "down the road" and now is time. it's a rust bucket so will need a donor but it's all original and matching, with all the original parts that it left the factory with. Funny how we so often share the same hobbies. good luck with it will be a rocket. what kind of gears you gonna run in the 12-bolt? Is the Doug Nash an OD final?

Wow, that is an AMAZING pair, John!!

The Nash is OD final, and has straight cut gears. He said he cant recall the rear end gearing, but Im going to find the best combo once I can figure out what works best.

Nice 65 ditch! Best looking of the first generation in my opinion! Keep us posted.
I currently have a 82 Z28 (I know- 3rd Gen😄) that I need to drop my 355 in, and I have a 76 dually that's been LS swapped. Ought to be fun once it gets rolling.

Thats cool! I also have a '73 Chevy C20 with a one ton dealer installed factory heavy towing upgrade, 454, headers, etc...
