The Most Laughable "Sniper" I've Seen

Now I'm curious and did some cursory research. Would they employ say a light flak battery to protect what we'd call combat or field trains? Operated by Luft troops kilometers behind the front?
The army had their own air defense assets, basically a speciality of the artillery branch. I believe that divisions had a Bn of air defense as part of the organization.

Like I said that's not in my wheelhouse so I couldn't call BS one way or another. Was the Luftwaffe responsible for forward deployed AA? I could see snipers being helpful defending them.
There is a couple famous pictures of some FJ's with a low turret sniper on Crete (I think). So I am certain that the Luft got supplied sniper rifles the same as the rest of the Wehrmacht. But I would doubt any that are L or M marked as that practice stopped before most sniper rifles were produced.

I agree. In would say that probably not many or any on Crete in May 1941 as that was very early to see many German sniper rifles in use, but I’ve seen them in plenty of LW HG Division and FJ division photos in Italy late 1943-45, Soviet Union same time frame and 1944 Normandy.
