Tangent Curve Sights with Windage adjustment.

It's a standard ladder with elevation however the sight blade is apart of a two piece dovetailed block with the sight blade on the upper half of the block and the base attached to the ladder end. The sight adjusts for windage using a single windage screw which moves the sight blade via the mating dovetail surfaces.
This is a Mauser tangent sight as listed in a Stoeger add of 1939 however I find no other Mauser rifle equipped with this sight.

Thanks for the reply and info... I was hoping that someone who might have this setup would reply as well. Still have found no other Mauser owners who have them. This dovetail design seems to be rare.1000004965.jpg

This sight was used on some Mauser interwar sporting rifles and is pictured on page 177 of Jon Speed's Original Oberndorf Sporting Rifles.

Thank you Bruce... at $380 for the book I'll have to keep looking for someone who has one and will share it's workings as this one does not hold its adjustment.

That's again
John
