Tan RG 34 kit: CNX?

I have this tan cnx kit. Can I assume it's a post-war repaint to increase value/deceive?

The cnx never came in tan so make your own mind up about when it was done.

Latch is not supposed to be tan either. Good things fakers are too lazy to study.

To follow up, it is understood the tan paint isn't original from the manufacturer. The noted overpainted painted latches "might" be acceptable in the remote possibility of a wartime field applied paint BUT sadly a quick paint test reveals the paint is water based which in my mind rules out that possibility altogether. Post-war applied it is--be it 30 years ago or just last week.

The paint is a good attempt IMO. The cnx also has a non ribbed brass latch…..
