Swedens K98 Rifles

I have a 147 1940 b block that has the "SS" acceptance mark. This one found it's way to Central America after it's service in Israel
and has the pits to prove it. Nice bore, however, and a good shooter.

Yes, it seems many of these went from Israel to Central America or South even. Then some that were not scrapped were sold and imported here. A real shame to have those rifles disappear forever.

I know who they belong to and he is quite a lucky fellow.

Steven1 is a pretty well known Swedish Mauser collector. Hey Steve if you owned one of those would you shoot it? He watched me shoot a K98k from behind his car a couple of years ago. :behindsofa:

Actually no. It would break my collar bone and probably shoulder. One of the reasons these went out of service.
But own one? Oh yea Mike. Plus I suspect one of these in original shape would cost in excess of $10,000 very easily. More in a bidding war on an auction. Just nice to see and dream about. Not many original pictures of these around. I will have more before long. The friend has all three versions. Same as the now closed Army Museum in Eskilstuna has. I must admit I am very envious of these!

As promised. More pictures. Hope I don't duplicate any from before.

Couple more to post yet.

So, now we have a pretty good set of pictures to show these rare rifles. Enjoy!
