Is there a rifle number also present on either of the claws on the front ring? And any manufacturer markings on either of the rings?

Georg, I’m not sure why those didn’t upload. I just edited post to add pics of proper markings. Rear ring has usual “Greifelt & Co Suhl” marking and front has usual rifle SN on claw.
 
Thank you for adding the pictures. Did the scope rings fit the bases of your rifle well, or did you had to make some minor fittings? Or are they (a bit) loose in the bases?

The scope fits the bases without alteration, it did take some force to get it locked in as I believe the front claws on the scope are a bit beefier.

The scope does not fit my Gewehr OM and is not close (the rings would have to be moved 1/4”-ish).
 
Its great to see another Waffen-SS sniper rifle complete again and with a scope that matches the base rifles condition so well .
Glad I was able to keep my promise to you Mike and with 4 1/2 months to spare . LOL !!!!!!!!!!!!

Dave you certainly over delivered over your promise lol! I was expecting it to take 7 1/2 years to find a scope! Not months!
