Stock won't fit DOT rifle.

Does a DOT 44 rifle require a special stock? My K98 stocks will not fit my DOT 44 unless I remove 2 "shoulders" of the stock that keep the receiver from setting in completely. Picture is attached.

All parts are not universally interchangeable. Parts were numbered to keep hand fitting/ assembly organized for final assembly

On the later war Czech receivers the “scallops” weren’t machined out properly, it was one of the production shortcuts.
You will have to remove wood from those shoulders to fit your metalwork.

Thank you!!! That is exactly my problem. I see it now when I compare it to my other Mauser receiver. I guess I'll remove the wood. Thanks again.
