Brian , there are a few pics of my SS Objective Mount in this thread .
I do have pics of the Rifle , but I never posted detailed photos , I will have post them

Looks good Brian. Still the coolest German sniper rifle in my opinion. I‘ll stickie this later when I get home

These were some of the more rare and interesting rifles on the forum. So, it should be an asset to the forum to be able to more easily find them in these threads. You will see many more turrets and long side rail rifles before you see one of these types.

BNZ 4 that I think is a single rune N0 3812 c is a barel action that I found at a gunsmith in France 35 years ago

there is no rune or SS skull that's what makes me think of a single rune because as it was only made for the SS it didn't mark them I think
it have only on the barrel the WAA 63 and the letter L
what do you think ?????

I'm not sure I understood you. bnz4 with serial number 3812c cannot be single rune, since the SS contract rifles were always without letter suffix to the serial. Can you post a closeup of the receiver and barrel markings of this rifle?

désolé mais le numéro est 3812 pas de lettre !!!!!!
I know well is a mystake whith the transletter

no
for me it s because is single rune no need a marquage SS the single rune is only for the SS its my idea
but if you have other idea I am take never sean other one missing SSmarquages

According to period documents these rifles were converted to sniper rifles at Waffenwerke Brünn, and for final acceptance were to be sent to SS at Oranienburg. It is believed that they were "accepted" using the SSZZA2 stamp. Theoretically a rifle could not had been accepted due to something wrong and therefore being officially converted but not accepted. I do not know what would had happened with one like this, but your rifle is definitely not as one should expect a SS DC sniper to look like.

Edit, just to have it mentioned, an Eagle 63 barrel is also not standard for a bnz coded rifle, doesn't matter if SS contract (or even sniper rifle) or standard Wehrmacht rifle.

I thank you for your precise answer but I think I know well the 98 k of sniper or normal this canon action that I recovered I repeat more than 35 years ago is very homogeneous in terms of the tan canon and matte black culasse case as it should be the BNZ of late 1944
so the barrel has not been replaced moreover my DOW DC scope mounts very well
I'm waiting to receive other reviews or a picture of a single rune BNZ4 sniper DC without SS runes
Kind regards

Cordialement

Well .. all SS DC sniper rifles are without runes. Because the front base is where otherwise the rune is located.
