BASED off the horrible photos I'd say it looks to be a real C.E.. Being an early type id expect an anodized scabbard. Not painted it looks to be painted. Could be swapped ?

Hi, SS Daggers are normally a large investment. Would really recommend having an expert look at this one before you buy. I am no expert, but the SS symbols at the top of the grip appear to be straight up and down - they should point slightly to the right. Also, the grip itself just looks too new - not a scratch or a dent on it. Respects, Mike

Hi Mike, I've got no one to ask besides the fourms , it's costy yes and I'd hate to make a bad decision, so this is going to be a yes or no and I really need one . Thanks Mike

Hi Mike, it is on there , I'm a member there , I have to make a decision by Sunday morning, I'm not sure what yet but don't want to be burned, I'll send you a PM shortly on how much . Mike

Looks real to me but I think it has been repainted on the scabbard. It depends on the price and if a repainted scabbard bothers you.

I am not an expert on SS daggers (that`s my way out if I am wrong, lol). It looks like a legit Eickhorn SS 1933 pattern dagger. The fit looks correct and original. Not pieced together from other daggers. Nice unmolested blade with cross grain. The SS rondel ( is that enamel loss or light reflection at the 2 o`clock position?) and eagle are right from what I have seen of other M33 SS Eickhorns. The makers mark is correct for an Eickhorn SS dagger. The Roman numeral " I " on the cross guard is for SS District 1 - Munchen, where this dagger was distributed from. I agree that the scabbard looks to be repainted. There is more I could touch on but. I will leave that for others if they wish to comment.
