SOS Hotel change for some of us

Guys, can't speak for everyone who is going but I am changing hotel venues.
We will be staying at the:

SpringHill Suites Louisville Airport​


We will be reserving a conference room on Thurs. night for a forum get together.
The other hotel (Surestay) would not clear out their conference room and I refuse to check again, being it was 2 years in a row
that the conference room at the Surestay was full of storage fodder.

I typically buy the cheapest Hotel in the area the week or so before the event when prices start to drop to fill rooms (First time was the Howard Johnson and second time was the Studio 6) , but would totally love to swing by Thursday night after the show!
 
My reservation at the old place is $300.
New place is $700

I’m not sure I’ll migrate.
 
Andrew its about 165 a night...cant believe its less than 100 a night at the old place....

Mine was $575 for Wednesday check-in & Saturday check-out. The rooms are much nicer than the Surestay and in a better area without the riffraff around the Surestay.

I’m all for a better place, but not sure I can double my expenses. Haha. I will attend the meeting tho.

I’m not aware of anyone having trouble with anyone at this hotel? Other than the meeting room BS.
 
After the Olive Garden experience of 2019 I’ve personally learned not to mess with low budget areas in Louisville. It’s just not worth it.

I can’t speak to some of the suggestions being thrown around, they might be just fine. Our old hotel wasn’t too bad, but I’d caution anyone coming from out of town against staying in super low budget areas, as certain parts of Louisville can be a little seedy.

Is there more than one meeting room where we would need a number or is it just the only one in the building? I'd imagine people who aren't staying at this hotel in particular are able to get in for the meeting still? Look forward to seeing you all!

There is only one meeting room. There should be a sign in the lobby or outside the meeting denoting it as the “K98kforum Meeting”.

Those who aren’t staying at the hotel of course are able to get in.
