Somebody wore out a wire wheel on that. I love the bold, large M On the stock, is the stock a bnz stock? The BC looks like one to me.

I felt similar. Opened it up expecting to feel bad because I don’t know what everyone else is referring to. Got to picture number 3 and started screaming like Michael Scott upon the return of Toby
 
Lmao I saw that, it was under discussion in a few other places as well. Such a bad hump job.

The best part of that they got over ambitious with it and screwed it up, even as a hump job.

The stock acceptable pattern he has there (branch stamp, followed by two eagle over WaA655 stamps) was used up through early 1942.

That rifle is later-mid 1942. The "aa" serial number block would be well after they got rid of that stock stamping pattern. Instead they simplified it down to a single eagle over 135 stamp on the other side of the stock . The branch stamp was removed entirely.

So in the end it’s not even correct as produced by the hummer.
 
If the “winner” of it is re-enacting a KM clown shore patrol unit with a dayglo Afro, red ball nose and giant red shoes then this would be an appropriate rifle for him. He may have been bidding against another KM shore patrol clown in his unit.
