Xavier , IMHO its an SS SSR , I have a number of period pics showing stocks with finger groove stocks . Great Photo . Thanks for sharing it .
Or a reenactor? Something doesn’t look right to me.

I'm still trying to figure out why a sniper would be carrying a bayonet not to mention that looks like a white plastic bag on his belt. Or is it just me.
I have a SS SSR Sniper photo and the Sniper also has a Bayonet . I do not find it strange that a sniper has a Bayonet . Bayonets were Standard Issue .

Thats a personal item drawstring bag, usually used for organization in rucksacks or whatever. Original ones I've seen have been in a light tan or beige like the gebirgsjager windjacket.
I imagine that's what it is, correct me if I'm wrong.
It is at least very strange to see the shelter quarter slung around the chest.
I only know this from Luftwaffe training units.
Not sure about the camo field cap. Two grommets (vent holes)??
Xavier is this you, sitting in the garden with one of your rifles?
Georg thats weird thats what I was starting to think also , I figured he was playing a jock !!!!! Lets see who I can fool !!!!!!!Not So , I know the Truth now . I will let Xavier say were he got it from if he chooses too .
