Nice pictures.

Really great to see rifle in action with some form of camo line breaking wrap being used from the germans without being sanitized for propaganda.

Pretty cool to see the SSR all being cocked and safety fully engaged. Also the Ajack on turret mount needs to be an early one since it does feature the rainshield already, but still has the small metal plate atop.

Shoutout to @Dave Roberts on the Ajack in SSR mount … need to admit it seems there is this fine line in front of focal adjustment as a zero marking. Seems that this therefore was not a Swedish thing only. Something that Dave always told me and I so far refused. Clearly I was wrong and Dave was correct.

I saw this too and was wondering myself.

Georg You recall my comments about this I told you I have research photos and serial data that I was going to post about this exact subject this photo verifies my research . I bought such a matching SS SSR Scope & Mount that has a focal adjustment line just like in this photo . I will post pics of the SS SSR scope & Mount .

Some more observations ...
First picture is a walnut stock. And this rifle is cocked and safety NOT engaged (versus the other ones). Not only based on the already mentioned early configuration Ajack with the plate on top but also due to the shape of the front base I'm certain this is a low turret sniper rifle.

Third picture, took me until now to notice the sniper rifle has a pretty cool muzzle cover that is connected to the barrel so that it isn't lost. The rifle in the background, a bit blurred, appears to have several lines of receiver inscription - maybe a former Gew98 (receiver)? The rifle is K98k length though. Would anyone dare to make a guess on the scope on this rifle?

The Scope is a Dialytan BMJ . I bought this original photo several years ago from Ebay.de
