Well today was probably the luckiest day of my life. Happened to walk into this. A phosphate Radom was #2 on my list and I was hoping to find one at SoS. Well, I must have pleased the collecting gods and this fell in my lap. All matching second B, with a eagle 623 on the trigger guard. Thanks for looking!

The lighting was not working well, and I am no Dave Roberts, so the pictures are not where I want them to be, but too excited not to post them.

I dont want to mess with the screws, but there are eagle 623s on the back of each panel.

What a find for sure, the B prefix phosphate pistols are some of the neatest. My feeling is these many of these are really late, like in the last 1000 assembled. Yours has the "earlier" type take down lever so maybe yours not super late. Anyway, great grab - don't tell what you paid for it or there might be a revolt.

That is a sexy pistol! No idea why anyone would ever let that go...

Nice! I've never been able to find one (that I can afford)

Mrfarb knows the story on this. I was so freaking excited I had to tell someone. Moral of the story is look everywhere!

Congrats! That would look great beside my blued pre alpha ;) I imagine they're fairly scarce as I've never seen one in person. Great pistol Ty and thanks for telling us!

Glad you got a good one Ty. You can not help but love them. Now find yourself a bnz marked phosphate.

Atom, there are a few in second A block with wood grips and phosphate finish.

Forgot to ask - did it come with the correct magazine? Should have e/623 on the side. I got my B prefix wood grip from Mr. Radford, I love mine.

Mag does not have a 623 on it. There is a spot that I guess could be a misstruck 623......it looks like the follower is green phopshate? I really could not get my camera happy for these photos so bear with me.

Yep, late e/623 mag and correctly marked. Great to see, untouched late Radom with the right mag.

Mike, kind of interesting..... over on the luger forum Visniewski posted a pistol he just picked up. Second B, 7670 so 6 digits off. It is blued and has an early takedown lever. I guess who knows if these were even made consecutively?
