Kind of off topic while being on topic. I bought this in the 1990's out of Shotgun News. The Danes used leftover Model 98 actions to make various target rifles. This one is in 7.62 NATO. The barrel is a beast. It is as heavy or heavier than some machine gun barrels in the same caliber.IMG_20250315_181119423.jpgIMG_20250315_181127256.jpgIMG_20250315_181356325.jpgIMG_20250315_181338471.jpgIMG_20250315_181321413.jpgIMG_20250315_181308402.jpgIMG_20250315_181249619.jpgIMG_20250315_181233091.jpgIMG_20250315_181226486.jpgIMG_20250315_181213080.jpgIMG_20250315_181207202.jpgIMG_20250315_181143302.jpg

We had a large shipment of these imported up here quite a few years ago. They were built on everything from Gew 98 actions to svw45’s. I thought about buying one several times but never got around to it and they sold out. Interesting rifles for sure and yours looks like a really nice example!

It is very interesting for the rifle not only featuring a British firing proof, but also a British made Parker Hale rear sight. I really wonder if it may had the sight changed in the UK? Is the barrel marked under the stock in any way?

I am not sure. Unfortunately, I am not going to have an opportunity to disassemble it any time soon .

If you can make out the date code in the proof this might help in determining the date of proving..

Edit, with enlarging the photo I am not sure that rifle is English proved, somethings seem amiss when comparing them to the English proofs I have.(Birmingham) Would the marks on the rifle be the London Proofhouse?
