The documented Zielsechs LSR scopes I am aware of are all in the 76xxx serial range (and therefore would also consider 75xxx and 77xxx most possibly legit), so I would be quite surprised to learn a 70xxx serial Zielsechs is used on LSR mount. Does your scope have the triangle marking? What are the elevation markings? And is it painted black over the blued finish? My scope is 701XX serial range, so not terribly far away from yours
Mine is a civilian model for sure i just hadn't noticed that modification until now on the contract onesThe documented Zielsechs LSR scopes I am aware of are all in the 76xxx serial range (and therefore would also consider 75xxx and 77xxx most possibly legit), so I would be quite surprised to learn a 70xxx serial Zielsechs is used on LSR mount. I have seen a number of fakes over the years and the stop screw missing is a dead giveaway even if it is in correct serial range . Thats the reason I asked if your dial had a hole or not . Those making and trying to pass one off as original are always missing this detail .Mine is a civilian model for sure i just hadn't noticed that modification until now on the contract ones
Thank you that clears it up, was wondering basically if it was an indication of manufacturing era or military contract.I have seen a number of fakes over the years and the stop screw missing is a dead giveaway even if it is in correct serial range .
