Sauer High Turret 9414m

I finally had the time to make the 6 hour trek to pick up this Sauer High Turret from Legacy this past Friday. Base rifle is matching with a m/m dkl scope from Vol.2 pg.352. Rear foot of the scope mount has been replaced and the UHG of the rifle is an unnumbered replacement. The rifle definitely shows some use and wear along with a repaired send home cut under the rear band.

Although I love rifles that are in perfect condition I do appreciate a rifle with some wear and this one has just the right amount.

Really nice rifle, congratulations. I would not assume that all later factory handguards were numbered but this one appears to be solid wood(??) and on a laminate stock so that would give me pause on a factory match wood but not a German arsenal rework as I’ve seen the combination and seen it matched numbered.

Thank you!

I wouldn’t be surprised if the UHG was a rework replacement as the stock has a repair or two that (may be?) period.

Nice Sauer HT these are very hard to come by . Thanks for sharing the pics Mike

Can`t recall if I mentioned this to you Mike the DKL Scope on Your HT came off of the 1st Sauer HT I ever bought .

Thank you Dave!

You did not mention that to me, I knew the 2 other collectors that had the scope previously but did not know that you owned it as well. It’s always interesting to know the chain of custody of rifles/scopes you buy.

Because I like the k98 look line with the khales more, I find it brighter (luminous) than the dkl and its reticle is more tapered.. It may seem capricious.
For the Lovec I have never tried or even seen . I invite you to look at the topic I posted on my CE HT
A very beautiful khalès I know one but its owner does not want to sell it (Mine is a military reassembled with rings from Robert SPILAUER)
A very nice dkl or a very nice lovec would also please me

Best regard
A bientôt,

Very nice rifle, is the stock a pure Sauer or a subcontracted stock? I'm still looking for a nice complete Khales for mine..one day maybe
Stock is Haenel supplied to Sauer. The 25mm takedown disk is a good way to tell immediately as Mausers tooling wouldn’t accept that size and forced Sauer to aquire 30mm disks for those subcontracted stocks. If I’m remembering correctly.

There’ll be a Kahles that will come up eventually. I do agree with you that the Kahles is more luminous than a dkl.

Very neat! Did it come from a dealer or a walk in at the show?
It was on a buddy of mine's table and he got it from a guy that scoured tag sales in the area. Unfortunately it was sold at a time before I could afford to buy expensive toys like that, otherwise I would have owned it.
