matching with an unnumbered safety and band spring,band spring has a proof.they say the shiny front bands are from guard duty.I like the pre 1942 k98s with all the proofs,and numbered action screws and butt plate.enjoy

I've owned many pre-wars and used to think their band springs all should be sn'd but many of mine had proofs that matched the rest of the rifle but no sn. Does the proof on this one match? If not I have a 211 and also a k167 band spring.
