S/42 1936 Worth the buy

Looking at this s/42 that has been listed in my area for some time now. It was listed for way more than it was worth but might be a good value now. I would like to know some thought on this.
All matching with whats there. Would it be worth a buy to put back to original? Thoughts on what a guy might pay for this?

If everything there matches I’d still
Want to get into it for a sporter price. $500 ish for me.
 
I think if he came off his price about 200 it would probably be worth picking up. Of course the stock is toast from a collector perspective but if you were in it for said amount it would be in shooter price range. Also a prewar matching action will be hard to beat for smooth function etc and worlds ahead of other comparably priced shooter grade stuff. Someone may have a walnut fore end laying around which would make it economical, otherwise if you decided to buy a stock it might become a money pit.
 
I have a full length donor stock that has a cut/damaged wrist with stock disc intact(top in photo, can take a better pic in the morning). Also have a fore end section that was cut just the other side of the 10" rod ferrule. I have hand guards, bayo lugs, bands and band springs too.

Easy fix. The parts I'm sending will do nicely. I'm sending an extra band, the e/63 band has a small lip on the ID from someone tapping it off. Easily fixed with a round file but I'd rather send a spare in case. No charge.
 
Stock finish

Ok, thanks to mowzerluvr I got in the pieces i needed to get this rifle back to shape. Ive seen the post on duffle repairs which is what i'll do to this. I cant tell if this wood has been sanded on the stock or just cleaned. The waffenamts are dark and look like they've been burnt in. Is this something they did on early rifles? There really is no depth to them. Secondly, I've also read about linseed oil. I would like the rest of the stock to match the handguard and duffle repair. Do I need to clean this stock before I do the linseed process?
