Am sad to say, but the Rg34 pictured above is exactly what I referred to in Post #9. It is a "better than most" Portuguese Rg34 with either refurbished and/or newly made Portuguese components (with exception to the behalter). The German markings on the lid are definitely bogus. If the E/135 WaA weren't bad enough, the test proof eagle above that is even worse and never be found on such a piece of equipment. Mentioning you have had the kit for many years also puts it right in line as to when they began to appear as well. As collectors, we all experience a learning curve in our quest to both acquire items and increase our knowledge. Hopefully the costs in doing so will not be a high one. We all have paid our dues. Unfortunately today, it often can be. Looked in my bag of "still too good to throw away" Rg34 scraps and found a very decent, gray steel blank lid. Would be happy to send it to you gratis to replace the embellished one on your kit should you care to do so...
