the text ad “should be” enough to warn off potential buyers, but 117 photos of the same things, but not really showing anything? & for whatever amount it may finally sell for, couldn’t he at least put a better fake repro sling on it?

This entire thread becomes worthless in about 60 days when the awkshun link dies. Please, if you're going to turd alert PSA, do the following (it takes a minute, maybe):
1) screenshot the auction so we see what it is and who is selling it and when;
2) post the screenshots of the serial numbering and turd marks
3) screenshot the carnival barking
4) In your description, put what it is with the serial so an internet search will find it
5) as a bonus, when it's over, screenshot the bidding list, who "won" it.
This sounds like alot, but literally you could do all of this in the time it took me to type this. This becomes wasted bandwith in 90 days, no longterm learning or warning value without the foregoing. I may start deleting posts without this info.

I just checked in on this gem and of course some brand new NR bidder arrives and drops 10 bids to drive the price up over a thousand dollars. Sitting at 3025 with 11 hours left. The NR is holding the scat bag now so I'm SURE the sale will consummate.
