Not sure where to put this . I’m sizing down some virgin 30-06 brass to make some 8mm Mauser for my RC BYF 43 .
Anyone got some good recipes??

Why resizing 30/06 when new 8x57 brass available.

As for recopies are you asking about reloading data? Thats readily available as well. IMR 4166 works great in 8x57, 308 etc

I've got a ton of 8mm resized down from .30-06. In my case it's because I had a couple thousand pieces of greek .30-06 brass hanging around thanks to buying a fair bit of it from the CMP years ago, and sizing that down is cheaper than buying new. Plus it's good brass. I'm probably not getting quite as good accuracy out of it as I would purpose made brass, but then again I'm shooting 75 - 130 year old surplus rifles over iron sights so I'm not stressing about it too much. Still plenty accurate, though.

There is a ton of load data online, as Dave said. Personally I load a lot with Varget.

Most people will recommend just starting with the published load minimums and working up from there. I, personally, stick to the lowest node I can find since I'm just rolling range ammo rather than trying to kill a deer or something.

I reload cast bullets for 8x57 using converted 30-06 brass. With a 240 ish grain Lee Karabiner bullet I use 18 grains of AA#9 at 1600fps, start at 15. There's no published data on that bullet so do at your own risk.

Reason I’m using 30-06 brass is I have a ton of it and do not intend on having a 30-06 again. Nor do I want a variant of it. I enjoy reloading these cases will be full length sized, neck turned, annealed then neck sized

Well reloading is part of the hobby for me as well, and if you don't mind all the "extra steps" then go for it and enjoy.

I use a charge of h380 in resized 270 win cases along with a 200g Nosler CC at 2500fps. Tracks pretty well with the sights.
