Good news. It would appear that the accuracy problems was down to a dirty barrel. Thank you for all of your advice especially about the leading of the barrel. Although at first glance the barrel appeared to be reasonably clean, after brushing and swobbing with de-leading solution and countless patches the barrel started to shine. After taking it down the range today and firing some factory ammo the groups were still about 18" high but inline of the target. I then changed to some rounds I had reloaded with 40 gns of Reloader 15 and 185 gn jacketed soft point and still shooting about 4" high but the groups tightened right up to nearly touching at 50 yds. I shot about 20 rounds with no deviation so I now feel that I have sorted out the problem. Thanks guys for your time to reply and help to resolve this issue.
