Reichsmarine Simson "Gew.98" 98b from 1924

Paul, how many Reichsmarine 98b have you documented at all? Asking since I failed to find one when researching this piece.
There are 5 rifles that show irregularities I attribute to RM; 4 have RM unit markings in one fashion or another. Two not listed are from Scott in the e-block, very close in the 6k range with unique characteristics. These were once on Gunboards but now gone and it would cause heartburn among some oldtimers here to discuss them- needless to say w/Scott. I haven't spoke with Scott since CB passed but I doubt his views have changed.

I should say my views are not necessarily original to me, much of it is based upon comments made by Scott and Bob Jensen (I think Joe Steen also but I couldn't find notes regarding this) a decade or more ago... or should I say recollections then carried forward (It should be said that facts are a rare thing in this world, even in what passes for science these days can barely pass as speculation, - and often have more to do with funding and political power)

Anyway, I will search my RM files tomorrow for, but I went through Simson files and here are 3 more, - although there are a large number of 98b in the database itis a little shocking to review them individually - a dog pound has a higher percentage of quality examples than the database... most were mutts at best, some are accumulation of parts. I doubt 5 percent are worth fighting over...

1924 Simson 371 N 9898 (datasheet & Gunboard report, no pictures)
8535 a N.3550 (TD, stock matches but some irregularities, which alone suggest the screwy RM... maybe two rifles muddled together but serial match receiver-stock)
7680 f TD - O.9* (Bob Jensen, some pictures but low quality, stock has features from early 1924-25, probably off an much earlier 98b)
