Do you just want the sling for display, or are you going to use it? I'm a big fan of repro slings on something that's going to get range use, because the originals are between 80 and 90 years old at this point and leather doesn't age like fine wine.

That is my thought. Where is a good source for original slings and barrel bands? What would you fill the hole with?

Right here in the Trader Forum. You could also try E-bay, I've had luck there.

I won't be shooting it much... Would prefer an original sling.
