RC 27 (ERMA) 1940 with interesting bolt

I just picked up an ERMA made RC 98k with an interesting bolt. Instead of the average K98 bolt, it has a bolt that is flattened an checkered on the inside like a 98a bolt. This is the first time I have purchased a RC with this sort of bolt. Any info?

I had one with a straight bolt.

As long as it works I don't think they cared..

I got one too. 98a flat checkered handle. Also Imperial Eagle stamps.
