Portuguese K98 new imports

Anyways I’ve been waiting for the Portuguese K-98s with no bayonets to hit the site again. They were there until you tried to buy one so I hope they actually have just numbers matched rifles. If anyone knows what’s happening with that and information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
They have some bolt mismatched for sale now 899. Seem like a fair price?

This isn't a new topic. I remember when Sweaty Ben would serve up a fresh batch of them Notzi rifles on video. And he's not the only one who hyped up 'questionable' rifles on video.

For your amusement. https://www.k98kforum.com/search/396479/?q=Sweaty+Ben&o=date
Pardon, but what / who is this "sweaty ben" that I always read about on this forum? I hope he didn't get into these Portuguese K98ks from Centerfire, because I just ordered one yesterday! Lol. Thanks!

Per my separate post, I picked up a pair of the mismatches and am pleased with what I got. One “PB” marked and the other not. I think 1700 is quite steep for the matching guns, but the mismatches at half the price are very good for what you get.

I got one of the 899 rifles aswell. Stock and bolt mismatched, sanded stock. Pb marked receiver. Overall I am happy with it. Considering Russian captures go for about the same price.

If the serial # was already in the importers system, they had to add a suffix or prefix to make a "new" serial number. Not all of the rifles received this treatmet. Nobody likes added stuff but it's really tiny and the alternative was dropping $3000+ for one of the earlier 1990s imports. I kept a 937B myself and it has the pb, doesn't bother me in the slightest. I'd rather have that than the typical huge ****ing billboard PW and century used to put on the side of the receiver.

With the 937A models, an A suffix was added.

Some goobers are already trying to flip them on gunbroker
That doesn’t surprise me at all. What was the asking price 1,500.00? I finally have a few extra dollars saved up I didn’t think these would last I’ve heard all good things about them so far. I’m going to order one tomorrow. I’ll ask for a non PB marked with a good bore see what I get. They have always been fair in the past i just really hate buying a rifle i can’t inspect or at least see detailed pictures of.

I happened upon a u tube video of a guy with 60 or so 37As that were all matching with really crisp markings, original slings etc. are these part of this group or is that old/something else? They looked nice and def rarer than the Bs I think tho not an expert here

Was that the Mosin Crate guy, I saw that and no not part of the Centerfire rifles group at least not that I'm aware of.

Hope the M937As last long enough for me to get one. Apparently the check out system says these are no-nos for IL residents, hopefully I can get that cleared up with their office tomorrow.

Nvm, already sold out. So much for getting one of those
