What does a nice condition Panzer Assault Badge in silver go for nowadays? There are too many fakes and I haven't been able to get a good idea on the internet. Where are some reputable sources that guarantee authenticity? Thanks.

there are many variants.. But the low end badges sell for around what's been stated. I have seen some in the 1500-2500 range for rare types. Its like anything else.

I purchased mine here:
Friendly and knowledgeable about what they sell. Agree with M99 on the prices, unless your looking and a 50, 75, or 100 engagements marked badge, then the price gets really crazy

Outside of the higher engagement badges, do any other makers or variants bring a premium? I found a Frank and Reif that looks kind of nice.

Yes. Besides the obvious trait of condition, rarity of maker and material heavily influence the price/value. An early tombac or cupal badge is generally going to go for more $ than a later zinc badge. Some rare early variants can go for several times the price of a more common later zinc badge.

as stated.. Silver tombac Juncker for example can sell for 2k. I have owned a few for a short time. I prefer the early badges . The zincers are on the cheaper side.
