I have zero first hand experience with these. Anyone have any opinions? I believe the metal cases are rarer than the others.
I would be careful but I am interested in seeing what other members have to say. One issue is the poor lighting.
Generally the accessories look pretty good, at least with the quality of photo provided.
Areas of concern. Lots of the 'wear' on the can looks like someone took steel wool to create the scratches etc. Too uniform and not necessarily on high points
Patina looks like it could have been applied with a stain.
Inside paint looks too mint when compared to the wear on the outside of the cane.
Commercial closing/locking clasp. These are often copied especially on ZF41 cans. Something that is often missed is a small 'u' in the commercial stamping. This is an easy way to spot a fake ZF41 can. One needs to ask oneself, does the commercial clasp logo have the 'u'? If not, it is likely a modern reproduction. Northridge International sold a bunch of zf41 cans as 'original' in the 2010's but they were high quality reproductions - owner never believed me that they were fake. AASniper in France also sells high quality stamped ZF4 and ZF41 cans - I am suspicious that this is one of those cans that has been aged. There is maybe evidence of the 'u' stamping. This ZF41 can has the 'u' in triangle and is quite clear.

I sadly don't have my reference books with me, so I am working on memory power. I am sure if the companies that make these reproductions figured out how to make the commercial logo, that they will or have added the 'u'. It was also common to take the hinges off less expensive containers that used the same commercial clasp. This has become less common as other containers have become scare and quite valuable as well.
Hopefully other members will step up.
