Picked this up recently. Are these little rifles collectible? This one is complete and functions well. 02ACD2B4-C2D1-4E2B-9D85-E7EF0DBE2E48.jpg8DB8EBCB-187A-4C17-AE53-B1F14EEBF328.jpgA57BE572-2D92-4024-8963-60BB457BD6A9.jpg47F5699A-5F6A-4F2B-937B-AD0B9AA3DD79.jpg6FBDB5C8-83E6-445B-815D-A52EE6F3B9D9.jpg9CC51745-1777-4A56-919D-97E6C607AB55.jpg

Looks all correct.. Anything is collectable.. So that's a yes. Valuable ? not really in the 100-200 or less range. Geco mod1919 was a cheap garden gun sold post ww1.

I feel better now- was outbid for one of these just last week! Went for probably 50 or so but was in musty shape.

Model 1919 serial number 19. Interesting. I see working man hands in pic #2 btw.

I just picked one up. Serial number 847, I'm guessing this makes it roughly a first year gun, so 1923? Has anyone ever found a record for what serial numbers match up to years(I know the records were lost to bombing in 1846)?

I didn't know that there was an bombing in 1846, but i know that there are no records that allow to get an year to Geco sn's.

Do you have any idea how many were produced overall? I'd guess they wouldn't have been made if a lot didn't sell. I know my s/n has a phenomenal trigger, as good as any modern rifle I have. It's making me wonder if mine was an Anshultz factory produced one, because the trigger feels like one

These Geco carbines where in the "low budget" segment of this times, sure they where made in real large quantities.
But like many makers before 1945- there are no sources for this question.
