This one looks reblued on some parts, no? The bolt carrier is a darker blue and plum handle whereas the back end is 'patina-ed'/weathered. What do you guys think?

Just observing. I'm not so interested in buying it myself.

MODEDIT: Our site and trader are free. The price of admission is reading and following the very few rule we have. One of those rules is no posting of ongoing auctions unless to point out fakery, i.e., a turd alert. Without this rule our site ends up a chumming ground for sellers who do not extend our members the courtesy of first shot at purchase through our trader. It also promotes and encourages drivebys who come here to exploit our members and their courtesies (free quick and easy information) to compete with guys who've spent time learning, contributing, and developing relationships to advance the hobby. Thanks. HB

Nice looking gun but stock looks suspect from here. Be interesting to see what is goes for especially on Gunbroker.

Looks okay to me. I have an M and W and besides from the Tangent sight not being serialed (which it should) and the safety not being 214 proofed which it should be. It looks okay. I know the dealer and he’s always been square with me. Tough gun to find and don’t love the duofold handguard but it’s an interesting piece. Remember, we don’t know everything about everything and certain pieces might not have been proofed or serialed or replaced out in the field.

Here’s another a little over 300 guns later with the same features. There are many subtle changes throughout production.

Gun is good with a few minor hits.
The recoil lug is in backwards so its been out.
The front of the stock ahead of the rear band looks like it was hit (major color difference).
Would have liked to see an image of the stock front end minus the hardware.

... i spoke with a guy today whom is in management with ups. this particular g41 has a shipping cost listed as 150. that is soon going to be the normal ...................... ;;;.. i sent just a 41 stock with no metal attached and it was 98 to the northwest ...........

I just shipped a few long guns. From the info given to me from my guy at UPS the wordage on the new firearms policy aligns with the Federal Gov’t definition of “firearm” meaning you still should be good to ship pre-1899 stuff (which I’ve heard conflicting reports on depending on who you ask).

As for post 1898 long guns it may be better at this point to use USPS Parcel Select Ground and just pack the order as if a troop of chimps will be trying to tear a banana out of the box (which most of us do already). Shipping cost through Parcel Select Ground is higher than UPS Ground (about double). Using one of the discount shipping label providers (Pirateship) will help keep these rates down a bit for you rather than purchasing the label at the Post office (plus they don’t make you declare what’s in the box).

My bad on posting a link. Keep reading the turd alerts and got used to seeing links to live auctions to the weekly garbage that shows up on the web. Anyhow thanks for the reminder.

I have a Duv41 , And my Tangent sight is not serial # or is my safety. So I think its good. All the way. I have owned mine foe 30 years and its all matching.
