OGCA cyq today

Hello all,

I went to the Jan 2025 OGCA show today and was impressed as always. It really does pay to double check because I probably walked passed this three or four times before seeing it. Gun, mag, and holster was $1100. Let me know what you all think. Holster has the vets name in it but also appears to have had a bit of shoe polish on it at one time.

I’ve done the same there and passed by something and went “how did I miss this”. Weather kept me home today, but glad something interesting was picked!

Cost seems about right, the Spreewerke’s have been sitting in the 750/800 range. Throw in a holster at 200 and a spare mag at 100 and that seems like a fair shake to me.

Congrats on a nice cyq P38 rig! Nice to see these still pop up at shows for a fair price.

A friend once teached me it is Spreewerk not Spreewerke, but I'm having the same disability as you to continue to speak in plural of them :D . Kind of a desease.

Very nice! As ugly as one would expect a Spreewerk P.38 to be.

I have Ron Clarin’s book sitting right here with the proper spelling and I continue to misspell… at least I final have the “P” out of Waffenamt 😂

Sorry for the OT .. saw today a "Styer" SSG69 on gunbroker, and it seems the KREIGhoff Lugers are something to never end. Fortunately that is not happening in here!

The difference here is, Spreewerke would also be a German word, and it is very often also wrongly said "Spreewerke" even in Germany. It is "just" if you say singular or plural. Singular is Spreewerk, Plural is Spreewerke. So kind of factory or factories in Spree area. So we are already discussing at very high level German ;) .
