Picked this up from my buddy Steve87, he got it off the radar somewhere. So im pretty sure most of it hasnt been posted anywhere before, with the exception of Steve verifying the SS cap skull on WAF.

Nice no letter block German FN hi power. With one waa140 magazine. Hence my ad in the Trader, :googlie

All matching in very good shape. Holster is unmarked but you can tell that the gun has been in that holster for a very long time, and seen use. Super supple and fits it like a glove.

On the holster are original RAD, SS and Luftwaffe metal insignia. the SS skull is an M1/24 Oberhof. It missing one prong so they have used some copper wire to secure it, which has oxidized.

File uploader will not work for me. Sorry

I like it. Nice HP and the additions are cool even if they make holes in the leather. Of course I prefer them off the holster and in a case, but this is very common in the US. Enjoy it. A mag will be very findable but not cheap. I can not keep up with the various evolution of HP mags but I know you will figure that out. Congratulations.

Steve says my pics suck. He says its represented better in his photos. Haha
So here they are. I never photograph pistols. All my practice and setup has been for rifles.

I typically shy away from altered stuff as well, but I'll be honest, an SS skull is neat and sealed the deal. Otherwise I'd just find another holster. But it grew on me.

That's a very nice pistol and Steve's pics do it a lot more justice. Ours are very similar in condition but mine is 27,000 pistols later. I've tried finding info to date mine closest I could get is 1942. Nice holster btw, the jewelry has grown on me as well. Congrats on the great rig!

Pics are coming along, still think it looks much better in person!

Cheers,
-Steve

Nice find!

Is the holster maker marked under the closure strap? Usually CLG 43 or 44?

The pins really make it a nice WWII trophy.

I had not looked under the closure strap. I will later tonight. I only looked on the back where a p38 holster would be marked.

Some of the later military holsters will be marked there, if not marked it is still a WWII Browning HP holster with all the "goodies".
