Thanks to Frank guilting me into posting. ;) I was able to find this rifle and finagle purchase. Story goes picker in Maryland came across two byf44's both L blocks in a clean out. Attic or closet found rifles. This one and a 30k range rifle.
The 30k range was missing some parts probably shipped back and never assmebled . Bands and HG. nothing to bad. It was already gone before I could buy it.. Would have been nice to have both. Now this one 19k range slightly earlier but, this one was more coarsely machined on the barrel and receiver and a full phosphate late FN bolt. Full featured no KM with as issued sling.. I was very happy to get it. White glue semi chattered MO stock I presume with just enough handling grime in the right places.
Was shot very little if any.. Enjoy. I will post the limited photos of the other when I get a chance. Maybe someone here grabbed it ?? its somewhere..

thanks all.. I love those razor sharp edges of a bolt handle cut out !! Love odd angle stock photos showing texture.. Byf44's get a bad wrap or often coined as a meme for too damn common. Finding them un touched closet fresh is getting harder and harder these days.. I will be posting photos of the other soon..

As promised.. Here is the other. This stock is a little more dry a little cleaner. 30k range, Smoother finish on the receiver and barrel. Bolt is fully blued. TG is late 2 screw type. Non KM stock white glue .
Both were found together presumably brought back together. this one missing the B.S. and upper band and hood. Cleaning rod appears phosphate.

Not my photos..

Very nice, I see some interesting items in the background too.

That stock is giving Brunn a run for its money! Great rifle. Did the locking screws disappear somewhere in the L block? I swear I have seen L blocks without them.

look at the photos.. 19k has the locking screws the 30k does not . I'm sure this wasnt an abrupt change like all this stuff.. Large amounts of parts were on hand and used up till they were gone.
