My Collection, Field Gear and Militaria

Only a few things, I don't own as much as you do!

Here's an unknown manufacturer for this green enamelled messkit that came from Moselle in eastern France.

A named MN45 messkit with its matching tray, well used, found in Britany for some reason.

Aema44 enamelled canteen and hre45 canteen from Germany

And that's it! Thanks for allowing me to post!
I believe these greenish blue ones are chalked up to Deutsche Emailwarenfabrik (DEF). Love the brown enamel AEMA cup, hope to find one some day!

Awesome collection and very focused. If this WW2 junk does what Civil War junk does, you'll have an absolute gold mine one day. I love gear, all of it
It's already the case, fieldgear sells for incredibly stupid prices nowadays.

Just to guve you some insight:

1944 canteens with gabardine covers usually retail in the 200-300 euros range depending on the maker and even more.

The enameled messkits reach more than 200 euros as well.

Some late rg34 98k cleaning kits go for 300 and above (the tan kits for example)

It's all stupid and I'm glad I source my stuff out that market but it's becoming scarcer by the day

My tornister and clothing bag collection. I will hopefully post a thread on these in the future once I work up the strength to post them all.

This is fantastic! Are you trying for every maker/ variation of tornister? Also are there rare years and makers?

I wish! The amount of maker stamps I have seen alone, let alone variations of the same manufacturer, would require probably several hundred if not over a thousand tornisters to get an example of each type made.

Various rucksacks.
Top row: Tropical x3, Organization Todt., Gebirgsjager.
Middle row: artillery x5, 1944 assault pack x3.
Bottom Row: M44 x6.

The easiest way to identify between the tropical and late rucksack is the back mounted carrying d-ring on the tropical rucksack, which also lacks pocket d-rings for mounting the 1944 assault pack.

Artillery rucksacks will always have shoulder straps, while 1944 assault packs will always have d-ring mounts and blanket straps.

I am of the opinion the luftwaffe blue material was simply being utilized for standard army production, as the luftwaffe already had a proprietary rucksack of their own.
