My AX-41 K98K

I bought a AX-41 code K98K about a month ago and got it in about a week ago and I thought I post pictures on here to show you guys. Info on the rifle its all matching expect the trigger guard and screws, it was a German Luftwaffe marked rifle, and its got some battle damage up by the hand guard.

Congratulations, that is my favorite year/code. Can you post some more and better pics of the damage? It looks interesting. What letter block is it? Mine in an a block.
 
The piece of shrapnel went through the rifle by the upper stock piece luckily it did not damage the barrel on the rifle. Going to try and post more pictures tomorrow.
 
Very cool! I've got a stock peppered with steel but nothing as big as that chunk! Congrats on a nice ax.
 
Now I'm thinking about adding an CE-41 code K98K to my collection. I think it would be great with AX-41 I got right now. That's the only problem with this hobby you buy one, you want two, you buy two you want three and so on lol
 
Very cool rifle! Tough code and the battle damage only adds to the cool factor
