Greetings gentlemen,
I'm new to this forum,out of curiosity I was checking out my MP44.
I was curious about it's period of production,these are the only symbols etched on it.
Can any of you seem to tell me the exact period and date it was made,preferably with the day and month?It would be much appreciated,thank you.

Could you show me a reference picture from an Mp44 rifle on what to send a picture of,I'm not quite familiar with the technical terms,thank you.

Look on the underside of the rifle, forward of the magazine area - but aft of the hand guard. You’ll see a bunch of markings.

Yup, Steyr made between 1 Jan and May 5, 1945.

yes. I've never seen a timetable of MP44 production by block and that would terrific info to have.

It's a Steyr production code swj. A guess is mid-January 1945.

It’s a good guess, but I have yet to see a database or other record with actual dates of manufacture. It likely does not exist, if it does I would be pleasantly surprised.
