I recently and happily stumbled on these three manuals - from some brief research and inquiries it appears that the two concerning MP40s and MP38s are fairly scarce.

The D 167/2 has multiple fold-out pages of the type pictured below.

The FG42 manual has a lot of fold outs.

The D167/2 manual has an outer, thicker stock paper front and back, an interior title page, 14 pages of text followed by a separation page marked, "Bilder" ("Pictures"), followed by ten (10) fold out picture pages. Here are a couple more:
