Hello can someone help me understand the markings on a couple of German Mausers? Please forgive my feet in the photos. I have more pics but I can only upload so many.
Thank you for the response. I’ll try this again one rifle at a time hopefully with better pics. ThanksUse the messenger app camera, they are automatically sized correctly, 15 pics per post and be sure you have a title or they won't post. Your first rifle is a Steyr army contract rifle from 1943 and your second rifle is a JP Sauer, can't see the 2 digit date I'm guessing it's a 1944 dated example. The bolt looks renumbered since the metal is rather shiny but that could be lighting.
No problem, when taking the pics on the messenger app you will have to hit save each time. You can crop the images yourself tho if your using a phone with your photo edit and just wanna use the regular camera.Thank you for the response. Strange, may be how it appears on your screen. For me when I hit reply there is a "paper clip symbol" and "Attach files" in the bottom left corner of the white box, should be roughly mid way on your screen and to the left. When I hit that it takes me too a choose action screen and then I go to my gallery from there.I can’t figure out how to upload pictures. Yep, basically if a rifle that has a manufacturer code and Nazi or weimar style eagles on it then it belongs in the Nazi section of the forumYes I reposted a second series of just the bnz on the new member thread. This is honestly my first time chatting on forums so forgive my lack of etiquette. I know I’m I’m all over the place here.
I posted another series of just the ce rifle in the 1933-1945 Nazi era (I think that’s right).
