Thank you!!! And from what I read this is a pretty rare code!Beautiful rifle!! Huge congrats!!
I have 57000a (can’t remember the last 3 digits), only thing Russia captured. And they really screwed it up.
Glad they didn’t get yours!!![]()
I agree. It’s hard to find either matching with nice wood - there seem to be about the same number of each produced, but I guess the standard sight guns went into the field and were used up while many sheetmetal sight guns were closer to the factory or in the shipping system at wars end.Nice. SWPs with standard rear sights are actually harder to find than the sheet metal sights!
Maybe a mix of the early ones have AVK barrels?Congrats!! I have swp 45 51193 a, but it's not remotely as nice as this one. Has an avk-barrel and standard sights, too.

That would make sense! What approximate s/n does the sheetmetal sight start to show up?I agree. Roughly speaking, 45k - 65k serial ranges are standard sight, 65k - 95k are sheetmetal sight guns. That would make sense! What approximate s/n does the sheetmetal sight start to show up?
That looks fantastic and thats so cool they are so close! What barrel does yours have? Here's mine, one of my favorites, and probably made the same day as yours.View attachment 337124View attachment 337125
