Is the glass half full that people are that stupid or is the glass half full that people are that dishonest? It's either excessive stupidity or shill bidding. I prefer to think these people can't be that stupid.
It's possible.. the highest "legit" bidder, Ruscon61, is a known whale that over pays for faked items. My opinion everyone with low feedback expect the "winner" (who has to be legit as the auction was won with buy it now) was a shill. I looks like they were worried that Overthetop100 was going to outbid them and the total was approaching the BIN so just used that to end it.
Whats a bit unnerving is from now until the auction results disappear anybody going through completed auctions to price their K98K is going to see that this not only went for nearly 3K but that there were also 50 bids on it so this must be the value of theirs as well.

The one stop 'researcher'. You are right about that though. There are people out there this morning convinced their dot 44 is worth every penny of $3k.
I don't think the majority of these bidders know the difference between a dot44, ax41, or S/147k. They only know what they read in the description of the auction... and that someone else is willing to pay $X so $X+$100 isn't too much more expensive for something so sexy. That's what I'm talking about if the more common dot 44 is worth $3,000 now what is a less common ax41 worth now $6,000? Hell what's a rare S/147k worth now $10,000-$12000?
Let's even up the game anymore what you think somebody would give me for my all matching 1939 337? If one of these stupid bidders is going to give me $15,000 for it guess what I'll probably drive down and meet them.
When you see auctions like this it just doesn't make the hobby that much fun anymore. Especially when you see people come to the shows with reblued crap that they want 40 times what it's worth
