Got this earlier this year for $2,900. Was at a small gunshow and seen this on the table of a private seller and saw the L marked stock and matching bolt n fell in love. Sucks that during it's life someone added a single sling point on the stock you typically see on hunting rifles n shotguns...

Head of the screw, my Luftwaffe 1940 has inspected capture screws. There the originals to the rifle.

I will look closer, but I really hope that both screws weren’t replaced at some point. I guess I doubt that both wouldn’t have been, but I can never be sure.

It depends on when Mauser Berlin stopped inspecting them. Even then capture screws are no big deal really.
