Matching G Date Bayonets S/174 & S/185

Here are a couple of matching G date Bayonets with frogs, an S/174 and S/185. I am not sure if frogs are correct or original to them but that’s what they came with. My inexperience to remove them keeps them hanging onto the scabbord. Also am not sure if the grips are correct or not, just what they came with

Nice 35s. The wooden grips would be correct. Most likely original. Unsure of the one frog that I see no stamps on but I would venture to say the 38 dated one was added later. Good to be cautious about removing frogs, if you do not know how (and even if you do) there`s a good chance to do damage.

Same opinion, about the S174G i would think it was refurbished in war probably, the blueing on blade looks like repaired, the one of the frogs was repaired, both looks like prewar production, but the secure strap was probably added by one later. Much better photographed as the 41asw, but still too dark for seeing the color of blueing.

The asw is plum yes. I lost my lighting in between taking photos The 35’s aren’t plum they’re more of a duller finish

There is no problem with color of blueing but on S/174G is visible previous traces of scabbard spring were reblued, same as the finish is rough for 1935 probably, should be high polished. But this doesnt mean bayonet is wrong, only well used in WW2.
